Notice to Purchasers

Viewing:

  • The lots may be viewed as follows: Strictly by appointment only – Tuesday 16th February 2021 9am-4pm. Please email your viewing appointment to info@ncmauctions.co.uk or telephone 01302 898260

Please note: Only two parties per hour time slot. Parties, where possible, should inspect the lots individually. Groups of more than two people will not be allowed to access to the site at any time. Anyone who arrives at site without prior appointment will be refused access to the site

Bidding Ends:

  • Bidding will end Thursday 18th February from 11am (subject to the normal 10-minute extensions)

ACCEPTANCE OF FINAL HIGHEST BIDS - IMPORTANT NOTE:

  • Acceptance of all final highest bids is subject to the approval by our client.
  • NCM Auctions reserves the right to reject any bids which they feel do not reflect reasonable value
  • Successful bidders will be notified by email by 5.00pm on Thursday 18th February 2021

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDING:

  • Access for bidding can be obtained through our website https://bidonline.ncmauctions.co.uk/auctions/7714/ncm-au10433
  • Full details including valid email address must be provided in order to receive approval for bidding.
  • In the event of a bid being received within 5 minutes of the scheduled closing time, the bidding period on that lot will automatically extend by a further 5 minutes and for a further 5 minutes for any bid thereafter.
  • Staggered end times have been applied to the lots in this sale. Please check the lot you are bidding on for the end time.
  • MAXIMUM BIDS: If more than one maximum bid is placed of the same amount, the maximum bid placed first will be considered the highest bid and a further bid will need to be placed to take the lead. Bidders will be notified by an automated message which appears on their screen.
  • IMPORTANT: When Bidding, do not forget to ‘REFRESH’ your screen to ensure you are aware of current bids.
  • MAILING: All approved bidders will automatically have their details placed on our database for notification of future sales undertaken by NCM Auctions only. In the event that you wish to have your details excluded from our database, please use the unsubscribe feature or contact our Administration team on info@ncmauctions.co.uk

 

BUYERS PREMIUM

  • The purchaser will pay a buyer’s premium of 15% plus VAT, which will be charged on all lots. This charge is non-negotiable and will be paid by all buyers.

 

Payment Terms

  • All purchases are to be paid in full, no later than 48 hours after the Auction end date.

VAT:

  • Purchasers will be charged VAT on all lots, where applicable, at the current rates.

RISK:

  • Risk of damage to or loss of the lots shall pass to the buyer immediately upon conclusion of the sale. Once the buyer has been notified of successful purchase, they are strongly advised to effect insurance immediately, irrespective of whether title has passed. Title does not pass until full payment has been received in full.

 

 

Clearance Terms and arrangements

 

  • All lots must be cleared by Friday 9th April 2021, after which lots will be destroyed or forfeited. Collections can take place Monday – Friday 9am-4pm strictly by appointment only. No further access will be available after these times/dates.
  • All successful purchasers are to contact the auctioneer to arrange timeslots for collection. Numbers onsite are strictly restricted due to the COVID-19 epidemic. Anyone who arrives without a prior collection appointment will be refused access to site.
  • NCM Auctions does not undertake packaging/postage, delivery or shipment of goods and the bidder must make their own arrangements to comply with the clearance terms.
  • Please note that all lots, unless agreed prior, will be decommissioned by NCM approved contractors and lifted out ready for your collection. No Buyer will be allowed into the building unless previously agreed. NCM will be removing all lots outside ready for you to collect. If you are using your own decommissioning & lift out agent, then NCM will require the completed risk assessment and method statements. If RAMS are required to be completed, please be aware that you will not be permitted on access to site to commence collection of ANY of your lots until the RAMS has been completed and reviewed by an NCM representative. If you require access to site before or during the collection period for RAMS purposes, please contact NCM Auctions on 01302 898260.
  • Clearance of all lots must be undertaken in accordance with The Health & Safety at work etc. Act 1974 and, where an as applicable, The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and all other summary legislation.
  • NCM Auctions reserve the right to stop clearance if in their opinion, they believe it is being carried out in an unsafe manner or without the Method Statement and Risk Assessment.
  • The purchaser must ensure that their contractors hold sufficient public liability insurance, copies of which should be made available to NCM Auctions if demanded.

 

 

Transfer of Lots

  • NCM Auctions will only accept payment from and permit removal of lots purchased by the successful bidder or their duly appointed agent.

 

COVID 19 Corona Virus

In order to protect both you and NCM staff, NCM auctions have taken the following steps to help limit the spread of the Coronavirus.

These steps are to inhibit and reduce the risk of infection, social distancing policies must be adhered to. Wash your hands, wear a mask, stay apart two metres.
Only one member from a company or family to attend viewings and as small a number as possible to attend collections.
Viewings and collections are by appointment only. If you are showing any signs of Covid 19 please do not attend the site.
If you cannot collect items purchased at auction due to isolation or illness you must arrange an alternative and with will do our best to assist you. Please remember that most items are sold unpalleted/unpackaged/unwrapped.

 

Overseas Purchasers:

Overseas purchasers must, on acceptance of offers, advise their intentions to export their goods immediately and notify our accounts (accounts@ncmauctions.co.uk)

 

Overseas purchasers will be required to provide details of:
(a) Their passport(s)
(b) One other method confirming their identity, i.e. drivers licence, name,
address, UK agent (if any), telephone and fax numbers.
(c) Full details of their national bank and their UK corresponding bank.
(d) Details from their bank confirming method of payment, etc.

Please also ensure that:
(e) Your country, or the country to which the items are destined, holds no import restrictions on the goods that you wish to purchase.
(f) The country has no import licence restrictions or a restriction on currency allocation.
(g) The country has no prolonged inspection procedure, which might cause excessive delay in allowing your goods to be imported.
(h) You receive a fully descriptive invoice in order that you may arrange payment as soon as possible with our bank.
(i) You employ a reputable freight-forwarding organisation. Please note that many of the machinery removal companies in this country are not necessarily freight forwarders. We will be pleased to advise accordingly.
(j) You have read the Conditions of Sale.

Please Note:
(a) We will not allow removal of any Lot from the Sale site until our Accounts Department has received notification from our bankers that your payment has been properly cleared in full. Monies must be transferred to ourselves within the time stated in the “Notice to Purchasers”
(b) If there are any special arrangements that you wish to make with us, you must contact us at least three days before the Sale date.
(c) Our terms regarding payment of VAT and subsequent refunds.

 

VAT on Goods Destined for Export:
All purchasers intending to export their purchases will be charged a deposit equal to that of the VAT due on each lot purchased and the Buyer’s Premium.

In order to qualify for a refund, the goods must be exported in accordance with regulations under “Indirect Export” and valid evidence of export received by NCM Auctions within one month of the date of export. Where satisfactory evidence is not provided, goods and services will be subject to UK VAT at the standard rate and the deposit will not be refunded.

Please be aware that given the current and evolving global situation surrounding the coronavirus, collection dates for lots purchased may be subject to change.  All collection dates will be confirmed at a later date and buyers should not consider any collection dates listed in this auction as confirmed. Should we need to amend any scheduled collection dates buyers will be informed via email.

  • Please note: Larger items will be loaded to vehicle; the securing of the load is the responsibility of the collector.
  • Clearance of all lots must be undertaken in accordance with Health & Safety at Work Regulations and, where necessary, Construction Design and Management Regulations 1994.
  • Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS): If you purchase a lot that requires RAMS to be completed please be aware that you will not be permitted access to site to commence collection of ANY of your lots until the required RAMS has been completed and reviewed by an NCM Auctions representative. If you need access to site during the to review equipment for RAMS purposes, or have any further questions please contact NCM Auctions Info@ncmauctions.co.uk.
  • NCM Auctions reserve the right to stop clearance if in their opinion, they believe it is being carried out in an unsafe manner or without the Method Statement and Risk Assessment.
  • Any fluids remaining in any lots purchased MUST be removed from site in conformity with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations.
  • RECORDED “USEAGE” READINGS: The hour and odometer readings on machinery and vehicles in this sale cannot be warranted and should not be relied upon.

 

  • VAT: 20% unless specified.
  • Buyer’s Premium: 15%+VAT unless specified per lot.
  • Payment: BACS, Card Payment's by request or cash up to £7500 must be paid within 48 hours of auction end and prior to Ceollection.

Important information: Nathaniel Carter & McSkelly Auctioneers strongly advise those bidding to view and inspect any auction items prior to the placing of bids. Any bid placed will be considered by Nathaniel Carter & McSkelly Auctioneers as proof that the bidder has completely contented themselves with both the condition of the item or items AND the cost, ease and complexities of decommission and/or removal.

Details are provided in good faith. They should not be relied upon as fact and buyers must make their own investigations where measurements, mileages, hours, condition, ease & cost of removal or authenticity are critical. Buyers should make themselves satisfied they are happy with the lot before they bid. Viewing is available on all lots by prior appointment, all bids are non-retractable.

The condition, function and removal of an item should be confirmed by the bidder, prior to bidding.  There will be NO Refunds or Allowance given after the closure of the bidding process. Your bid is your commitment to purchase. Not to view or negotiate after the sale. Transgression of these rules will be reported to Bidspotter and ibidder, and the bidder will be blocked from taking part in any future Bidspotter & IBidder sales.

Nathaniel Carter and McSkelly Auctioneers limited do not test any lots presented in this or any auction and all items are sold as seen with no warranty given or implied or otherwise. The Sale of Goods Act does not apply.

We strictly enforce our terms and conditions. Potential purchasers who do not inspect lots prior to bidding, do so at their own risk.

Payments & Bids: Your Highest Bid will be treated as a valid bid even if at the time of placing it the RESERVE is NOT MET. Vendors regularly ask us to reduce the reserves in the closing hours and put items on sale. Remember when placing a bid, you are bidding to buy! Final bids are subject to approval.

Full payment must be made within 48 hours of auction end and removal of lots on the dates stipulated. This is a legally binding contract to purchase, if you are not sure, do not bid. We are unable to cancel your purchase, after the auction closes.

We request that payments are made via BACS, Cash (up to a maximum £7500 payable to the NCM Auctions office in Doncaster prior to collection)  or Card.

Please note our preferred payment is via BACS this ensures you receive your collection note as quickly as possible. if paying by secure card payment link (Bidspotter) this type of payment can take up to 3 working days to show in our account. Please be aware if paying by secure link your collection note can only be sent once we have received cleared funds and can take up to 3 working days.

If payment is not received within the time period specified, (2 days from the end of the auction), Nathaniel Carter and McSkelly Auctioneers Limited reserve the right to charge the card registered with Bidspotter for the full amount outstanding.
